Adding Security Instrumentation to DHS CDM program

Verodin’s Security Instrumentation Platform approved by federal government fortification program; partnered with General Services Administration (GSA) Schedule holder Cyber COAST

MCLEAN, Va.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Verodin, the leader in validating the effectiveness of cybersecurity controls, today announced it has been approved to deliver critical cyber capabilities in support of the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM) Program.

The CDM program fortifies the cybersecurity of government networks and systems by providing both federal departments and agencies with capabilities and solutions to monitor vulnerabilities and threats to their network. The goal of CDM is to help agencies identify risks on an ongoing basis, prioritize them based on potential impacts, and enable personnel to mitigate the most significant problems first.

Measurement and quantifiable validation is a critical part of a truly effective security strategy. Verodin is a business platform that provides organizations with the evidence needed to measure, manage, and improve the effectiveness of their cybersecurity programs. Using Verodin’s Security Instrumentation Platform (SIP), organizations and government agencies can quantifiably validate if their controls are protecting critical assets. They can then manage their cybersecurity program with meaningful metrics to drive decision-making, optimize operations, and ultimately improve their organizations over time.

“Many breaches today are due to preventable misconfigurations in security toolsets. Compounding on this issue is the fact that the IT landscape is constantly changing and requires frequent updates to security configurations,” said Maj. Gen. Earl Matthews, U.S. Air Force (Ret.), Senior Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer at Verodin. “Verodin is proud to continue serving the U.S. government in testing and confirming that mission-critical units are protected. Our Security Instrumentation Platform provides a means to prove whether pre-existing cybersecurity tools and configurations are effective, along with the validation and necessary data to effectively reconfigure controls and reduce wasteful spending.”

A longtime partner of Verodin, Cyber COAST will support the distribution of Verodin’s platform through its GSA Schedule Contract. Equipped with a deep military security background, Cyber COAST works alongside agencies and enterprises to achieve a resilient security posture, providing solutions to improve and secure company infrastructure with a client-driven approach.

“As a CDM-approved product, Verodin’s solutions are now easier to order through the GSA Schedule. Any federal, state, or local agency can order and quickly receive Verodin’s insights for improving cybersecurity effectiveness,” said Christian L. B. Sorensen, President and Managing Director of Cyber COAST. “We’re pleased to continue supporting the delivery of Verodin’s platform with our operational capabilities and consulting. Verodin continues to deliver value to both the public and private sectors, improving cybersecurity effectiveness through quantifiable, business-centric data.”
